How should I handle the product?
Always use clean, dry hands when scooping from your balm. Introducing water can cause mold or shorten shelf life.

Why does the texture sometimes change?
Tallow is naturally temperature-sensitive—warmer weather may soften it, while colder temps firm it up. This won’t affect the quality or benefits of the product.

Is this for external use only?
Yes! Our balms are intended for topical use only. 

Should I do a patch test?
Yes, we always recommend patch testing before use—especially if you have sensitive skin. Apply a small amount to your inner arm and wait 24 hours.

What’s the shelf life?
Our products are handmade in small batches and are best used within one year of purchase. Store in a cool, dry place and avoid contact with wet hands to extend shelf life.

Does it have a beefy scent?                                                                                          Tallow is rendered beef fat, and it may carry a natural beefy aroma. We don’t overly process our tallow to remove the scent, because doing so also strips away the nourishing nutrients your skin loves. The scent is subtle, fades quickly once absorbed, and is a sign of the product’s purity and potency. Your skin will thank you!
